A taste of KENYA in the HEART of Livermore: Sharing Arts and Culture
Cheza Nami Foundation, Inc hosted a magical afternoon of Kenyan art, dance, poetry, music, food and fashion at the Bothwell Arts Center in Livermore. This event was in collaboration with Kenyan visual and performance artists This special family event gave community members a tangible experience of Kenyan culture through touch, taste and conversation.
When: Sunday, November 17th, 2013.Where: Bothwell Arts Center 2466 8th St Livermore, CA 94550Activities included children's African-style face painting, musical performances, poetry reading, live painting, African drumming and dance, and a raffle. The event concluded with audience participation in an African drum circle.
