Introducing our new early childhood AFRICAN MUSIC & MOVEMENT class at Habitot in Berkeley. Join Cheza Nami (Swahili for “Come Play with me”) in this active class exploring the sounds and songs of Africa through music, dance and play. Children will develop rhythmic awareness and practice creative motion through dancing, drumming and song. Learning Swahili words and playing percussion instruments from Africa add to the fun! This 10 week class will be held on Mondays, starting January 9th at 10:00-10:30am. $6 drop-in per child (no charge for adults).
