Pleasanton, CA. - Cheza Nami is pleased to announce we are now exempt from federal income tax under section 501 (c) (3) from the Internal Revenue Code and are now recognized as a public charity. This wonderful news now qualifies us to receive tax deductable contributions.
Cheza Nami aims to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of African Culture by welcoming members of the community to participate in fun-filled activities while learning about some of the things that make African culture so unique. Cheza Nami believes in a play-based, experiential approach to education and teaches African culture, through dance, play and movement.

Jack London Aquatic Square, Oakland: Cheza Nami joined hands with Assante Africa Foundation for their "Esacape to Africa" Fall Celebration and Fundraiser. Cheza Nami was proud to present the cultural interactive component for the event -with proceeds from the fundraiser going towards educating school children in Kenya and Tanzania.
Traditional African instruments, song, dance, art and costumes all set the stage for an entertaining and celebratory occasion -and all for a worthy cause!
