Moving Together - San Francisco | Community Engagement Dance and Drumming Wokshops
We invite the community to join us for African and African Diaspora master dance and drumming workshops and an Ensemble performance. This program is open to everyone regardless of skill level.
With Support from the California Arts council, Cheza Nami is excited to produce “Moving Together”, a community engagement program that brings master African & Diaspora Artists together for dance and drumming workshops . 6th Annual Hâ Mbongui African Dance & Drum Conference
Local master artist Loubayi Arnaud in is excited to present the 6th annual Hâ Mbongui African Dance & Drum Conference. The conference brings together multiple master instructors from different countries in Africa & the Diaspora, including but not limited to; Congo, Guinea, Haiti, and Senegal. Artists give patrons an opportunity to learn and celebrate culture from visiting master artists over a 3 day period.

Travel to Brazil with Dandha Da Hora
Travel to Brazil with Dandha and also consider supporting her vision of bringing four incredible women – master artists, teachers, and sacred keepers of our African inheritances – on a sacred journey of reconnection to Bahia, Brazil. These four women are “Mama” Naomi Gedo Diouf, Artistic Director of Diamano Coura West African Dance Company (Liberia); Mabiba Baegne, teacher, drummer, and choreographer of traditional and contemporary African dance (Congo); Tammy Lynne Hall, renowned jazz pianist, composer and educator (United States); Catherine Ciiku Ndungu-Case, founder and CEO of Cheza Nami Foundation (Kenya).
