Administrative Intern
Location: San Francisco Bay Area
Time Commitment: Up to 10 hours per week
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Administrative intern/volunteer provides administrative support to the Board of Directors with duties including but not limited to bookkeeping, cultural program development, and general administrative duties. Reports directly to the CEO of the organization

POSITION OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain inventory system of all organization instruments and props used for cultural programming.
- Develop Update and maintain contact and donor database and organizational calendar.
- Perform basic website updates - news announcements, events e.t.c
- Assist with various cultural programs as requested and as responsibilities permit
- Perform research on available grants and funding for our cultural programs.
- Assist the Board in the creation of marketing materials such as post cards and brochures.
- Communicate and cooperate well with team members, listening and assessing requested desires of the organization, and assisting to satisfy needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Proficiency using the Internet and Microsoft applications. Graphic design software a plus.
- Ability to work independently and be self-directed and also work effectively with a team.
- Enthusiasm for the mission of Cheza Nami.
- A strong interest in non-profit work and community service.
- Extensive administrative experience is not required, but a willingness to learn is a must!

Grant Development and Writing Intern
Location: San Francisco Bay Area
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per week This Internship position will be a key role for our organization. A minimum of 6-9 months commitment will be needed. POSITION OVERVIEW As the Grant Writer and Team Leader you are responsible for increasing support from foundations, corporations, governments, and other grant-making entities. The ideal candidate will have experience in researching funding prospects, writing grant proposals, and securing grants from private sources. As a Grant Writer manage the researching of grant opportunities and the writing of grant proposals, including leading a team to consensus on what grants Cheza Nami should seek, gathering appropriate data when necessary, gaining approval from the board of directors for the submission of final drafts of grant proposals, and meeting grant deadlines. Additionally, the Grant Writer acts as an advisor and key resource to the board on a spectrum of fundraising opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS

Help Cheza Nami promote awareness and market our cause by connectivity through web community and content. The Web marketer must understand marketing concepts, search engine optimization and have experience with social media programs, campaigns and projects.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working under the directors direction, must be able to drive Cheza Nami social media programs by building capabilities for Blogging, Discussion Forums, PR and Article Marketing.
