Vendor Registration

Vendor Registration Deadline
Friday, September 20, 2019  5 PM
Thank you for your interest in partnering with us to host the 8th Annual Taste of Africa Festival. The event will be at the Bankhead Theater Lawn, 2400 First St., Livermore from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Vendor booths will be centralized at the Bankhead Theater Lawn. We will provide space for 10 x 10 booths. Space is first-come first-served and you must submit the application by the deadline to be considered. Confirmation of space will be sent to you by e-mail within ten days of receipt of your complete application and payment. We cannot list vendors on the website unless these names are provided by the booth’s reserving vendor by Friday, September 20th at 5 PM.

SALES, TAX, LICENSES & PERMITS:
We do not collect the Sales Tax for you. The City of Livermore requires that those selling goods within the city limits obtain appropriate business license permit.
You can also opt to exhibiting under a blanket Taste of Africa business license which we acquire so you will be covered for the City requirement, but in order to do so, you will need to obtain and furnish a California Sales Tax License through the Board of Equalization . Vendors selling food or drinks must obtain a permit through Alameda County to sell food and drinks at this event. For more information on a temporary permit or the application please go here.

BOOTH COSTS:
Each 10 x 10 booth space costs $100. Please submit your application form along with your vendor fee to secure your space. You can submit payment via check or opt to pay via credit card through pay pal. Payments and registration forms must be received by Friday, September 20th by 5 PM. We are not collecting commissions on your sales.

FOOD VENDORS:
You must have a current health permit issued specifically for the event (original permits must be posted for public view at each facility/booth). Vendors who are cooking will be allowed to set up within a 10’ x 10’ space and will be given space behind the booth for cooking. Vendors must provide their own tables, chairs, and canopies/tents. Additional information about set up will be provided to you. Vendors selling food or drinks must obtain a permit through Alameda County. For more information on a temporary permit or the application please go here.
